What We Believe

MISSION STATEMENT

To proclaim the gospel message of Jesus Christ.  To minister to those in need, both spiritually and physically extending our ministry into all the world through a strong mission program.

GOD

We believe God the Father is the first person of the Trinity.  He is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, perfect and holy in every way.  God is the supreme Ruler and Sustainer of the universe. Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity and is the begotten eternal Son of God, who became flesh to reveal God to man, to fulfill prophecy, and to become the Savior of the lost world. In becoming man; he died on the Cross for our sins, was buried; bodily rose from the dead; physically ascended into heaven in His glorified, resurrected body and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1: 1-5.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who specially came into the world on the day of Pentecost to glorify Christ and to enable men to appropriate the salvation wrought by Christ. He is the primary agent for the conviction of sin and for regeneration. He is present in the world to make people aware of their sin and their need for Jesus.  He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.  He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. II Corinthians 3:17; John 16: 7-13; Acts 1:8 Ephesians 1:13.

THE BIBLE

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired word of God.  II Timothy 3:16. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”…

SALVATION

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sins and salvation, which is the free gift of God’s grace.  “The Gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” and those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born again, have their sins forgiven, become children of God and a new creation in Christ. Romans 1:16, Romans 10:9-10.

ETERNITY

According to God’s plan, the world as we know it now, will come to an end.  Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth and Christ will judge all men.  The righteous through Christ will be resurrected, glorified and will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord. John 3:16, 2:25, 5:11-13, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15.
